From tri-daily observations, taken at the Meteorological Office of the Virginia Agricultural & Mechanical College the following results were obtained for the past month.

Average temperature for month 71.6.

Warmest day, found by averaging the three observations, was the 17th, 80.7.

Highest reading of thermometer at any time was at 2 P. M. on the 31st, and 9 P. N. on 16th, 80°. Lowest reading of minimum thermometer was on the 21st, 58°. Average standing of barometer for the month 27.171 in. Highest standing of barometer 29.577 in.

Lowest standing of barometer 26.808 in. Total amount of rain fall for the month was 5.38 in.
All observations of barometer are reduced to the freezing point by tables furnished by the signal office at Washington.

Of 93 observations during the month, the wind was twice from the N., twice from N. E., 4 times from the E., 5 times from S. E., 8 times from S., 10 times from S. W., 14 times from W. No winds recorded from N. W., 48 calms.

The average amount of cloudiness was 60 per cent. Besides the amount of rain recorded above, on the 10th a most terrific N. E. storm occurred accompanied by hail. The rain fall was so great as to run over the rain guage. The amount of rain on that occasion was disregarded.
