MR. J. R. H., EDITOR GRAY JACKET. - To-day's mail brought the April issue of that most impudent sheet, the GRAY JACKET, reminding me of the old addage, "Never too late to mend," so here's the "Almighty Dollar" by which I shall endeavor to mend. Sorry I have no other subscribers, with their dollars to send.

The writer under "Personals," in your last, has one of the most vivid imaginations I ever heard of. How he could make up all that mess of brick-kiln, new house, centennial, Mrs. E., in-coming crops, and "rock the cradle Joe," is to me one of the seven wonders. And then when I consider that all this mess was applied to myself, my sentiments are expressed by—"Oh for a lodge in some vast wilderness."

Much success to the GRAY JACK, ET, and as her present is bright, may her future be brighter, and every mail bring scores of dollars from subscribers.
-W. E. E.
