Text
Oh! for a night of sweet repose,
Where Bed-Bugs cannot come,
Where I can rest quite free from foes
That now infest my room.
Where I can place my bitten frame,
And dream of battles won,
O'er valiant chinches now so tame I cannot make them run.
I'd give my hat and boots and shoes,
And every thing I claim or own,
To him who will impart the news How Bed-Bugs may be overcome
Where Bed-Bugs cannot come,
Where I can rest quite free from foes
That now infest my room.
Where I can place my bitten frame,
And dream of battles won,
O'er valiant chinches now so tame I cannot make them run.
I'd give my hat and boots and shoes,
And every thing I claim or own,
To him who will impart the news How Bed-Bugs may be overcome
