Take twelve ounces of dislike, one pound of resolution, two ounces of the powder of experience, one large sprig of time, one quart of the cooling water of consideration, set them on the gentle fire of Love, skim them with the spoon of melancholy, put them in the bottom of your heart, cork it with a sound conscience, and there let it remain, and you will instantly find ease, and be restored to your right senses again.

These things can be found at the apothecary's, the house of Understanding, next door to Reason, in Prudence street, in parish of Contentment. I think the above "extricates the dilapidated piece of linen off the shrubbery," or, in other words, "takes the rag off the bush." It was presented to me by a particular friend for my special benefit, and finding it so good a remedy, I heartily commend it to the use of those who are still in need of it.
