A fellow student being a very frequent visitor of some young ladies residing in the suburbs of the City, produced the impression upon his comrades, that he would like to change boarding houses; whereupon they very geuerously fowarded his trunk to the residence of the young ladies, what Mr. was present, engaged in his happy tete a tete with his cousins

He did not seem to appreciate the kindness of those who sent his trunk.

The Scientific American says, no turpentine should be used in the paint upon iron fronts or any iron about buildings. It cuts into the metal and causes decay and rust, Our painters and property owners may as well make a note of this.
