"I dearly luv the sing'n bird
And little buzzin bee,
But dearer far than all the world
Is thy sweet voice to me.
Oh, very deep is your daddy's well,
And deeper is the sea,
But deeper in my buzzum is
The luv I bear for thee.
Then smile on me, dear Angeline,
And make my heart feel lite;
Chain the big dog and I will come
A-courtin' Sunday nite.
I am ever your true friend, S.
And little buzzin bee,
But dearer far than all the world
Is thy sweet voice to me.
Oh, very deep is your daddy's well,
And deeper is the sea,
But deeper in my buzzum is
The luv I bear for thee.
Then smile on me, dear Angeline,
And make my heart feel lite;
Chain the big dog and I will come
A-courtin' Sunday nite.
I am ever your true friend, S.
