SUGGESTIVE.
Out of 2,700 voters in the county (and a Democratic majority of 100,) only 44 could he induced to sign a paper petitioning the Legislature to remove the Faculty of this College, notwithstanding the fact that it was circulated assiduously for ten days, whilst a petition gotten up by us as students, praying the retention of the present Faculty, received in two days, 140 signatures.
Behold the comparison and draw your conclusions.
Now that the College is in a prosperous condition, why will petty politicians and disinterested outsiders meddle with its affairs?
