Our readers will find in another column the advertisement of Mr. C. A. Deyerlie, who keeps the store nearest and most convenient for students. Mr. Deyerlie shows his knowledge of business by advertising at this time, when business with most men is dull, as the only true way to be successful as a merchant is to adverise and thus keep the people apprised of his whereabouts and his facilities for accomodations. We advise our fellow-students to give him a call as they will find him one of the most, if not the most, accomodatng man in Blacksburg, which is sayng a great deal, as Blacksburg has grown to be remarkable for its polite and obliging gentlemen.

John and Wm. Haw also advertise a saw mill, which is finely adapted to farm use, and to small water power. Four horses to an ordinary horse power, or four good oxen are sufficient to drive it while it is cutting at the rate of one thousand feet per day. This is a machine much needed and deserves a trial by all who have timbered land, and who wish to build fences or out-houses, or who have a small water or steam power too weak for a circular saw.
